Angel Babies Matter Network Participates in 4th Annual Mental Health Fair & Symposium
May 20, 2026 | Houston, TX
In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, Angel Babies Matter Network (ABMN) proudly participated as an exhibitor at the 4th Annual Mental Health Fair & Symposium held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Crossover Bible Fellowship in Houston, Texas. The event was hosted by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Alpha Alpha Eta Omega Chapter.
Centered around the theme “More Good Days, Together,” the symposium brought together community organizations, mental health advocates, healthcare professionals, and local residents for an evening focused on emotional wellness, education, and healing. Featured discussions addressed topics including anxiety, caregiving, trauma, emotional wellness in communities, and supporting the “strong friends” who often carry emotional burdens silently.
Angel Babies Matter Network was honored to represent families impacted by pregnancy and infant loss during Mental Health Awareness Month and to participate in important conversations surrounding grief, postpartum mental health, anxiety, and emotional wellness. Throughout the event, ABMN connected attendees with information about its Care Package and Healing Support Program, Healing Circles, grief support resources, and community-based services available to mothers and families navigating loss.
Under the leadership of International President and CEO Danette Anthony Reed, the sorority’s 2022–2026 international program theme, “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood,” includes a focus on mental health awareness through its Empower Our Families initiative. The initiative works to reduce stigma and raise awareness surrounding depression, anxiety, trauma, and emotional wellness within communities. The symposium created a meaningful opportunity for education, connection, and community engagement, while reinforcing the importance of accessible and compassionate mental health support for all families.
Angel Babies Matter Network extends sincere gratitude to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Alpha Alpha Eta Omega Chapter for the invitation and the opportunity to participate in this impactful event. ABMN remains committed to ensuring that families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss receive support, resources, and community during some of life’s most difficult moments.
