Angel Babies Matter Network Participates in State of Women in Texas Forum
June 1, 2026 | Houston, TX
Angel Babies Matter Network (ABMN) proudly participated as a community partner and exhibitor at the State of Women in Texas: Leadership, Advocacy, and Action forum held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Crossover Bible Fellowship in Houston.
Hosted by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Alpha Alpha Eta Omega Chapter in collaboration with Alpha Alpha Kappa Omega and Zeta Gamma Omega Chapters, the event brought together community leaders, healthcare professionals, educators, policymakers, advocates, and nonprofit organizations to discuss issues impacting women and families across Texas. The program featured panel discussions focused on educational access, women’s health and healthcare, maternal and mental health, civic engagement, and policy solutions affecting women throughout Texas. Attendees also had the opportunity to connect with community organizations and resource providers during the event’s advocacy and resource fair.
A highlight of the event was the opportunity for ABMN Founder and Executive Director Danielle Houston to meet Texas State Representative Lizzie Fletcher and engage in conversations about women’s health, maternal mental health, and the importance of supporting families affected by pregnancy and infant loss. These connections help further ABMN’s mission of advocacy, education, and compassionate support throughout Texas.
As an exhibitor, Angel Babies Matter Network provided information on maternal mental health, grief support, and resources available to families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss. ABMN shared educational materials about its Healing Support Program, Healing Circles, and other services designed to support mothers and families navigating loss.
The forum created an important opportunity to connect with community members, healthcare leaders, elected officials, and advocacy organizations working to improve outcomes for women and families throughout Texas. Through these conversations, ABMN helped raise awareness about the often-overlooked impact of pregnancy and infant loss and the importance of accessible mental health support for grieving families.
Angel Babies Matter Network extends its sincere appreciation to Alpha Alpha Eta Omega, Alpha Alpha Kappa Omega, and Zeta Gamma Omega Chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® for the invitation and for creating a space dedicated to leadership, advocacy, education, and action. ABMN is honored to be part of these important community conversations and remains committed to ensuring that families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss receive the support, resources, and community they deserve.
