Angel Babies Matter Network Participates in Harris Health Community Baby Shower
April 19, 2026 | Houston, TX
In honor of Black Maternal Health Week, Angel Babies Matter Network (ABMN) proudly participated as an exhibitor at the Harris Health Community Baby Shower held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Northwest Health Center.
Hosted by Harris Health, the event brought together healthcare providers, community organizations, and local partners to support and educate families across the Greater Houston area. Attendees had access to a wide range of resources, including NICU education, Medicaid and insurance enrollment support, financial assistance programs, and on-site health services such as mammogram screenings. Community vendors, including Kona Ice, were also present, creating a welcoming and engaging environment for families.
Angel Babies Matter Network was honored to be invited to participate and extends special thanks to Kathleen Y. Boddie, BSN, RN, NE-BC, Nursing Outreach Program Manager – Women and Infant Services, and Chamaine Penright, Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner, for their leadership and commitment to maternal and infant health.
As an exhibitor, ABMN provided patient education handouts focused on grief support, maternal mental health resources, and upcoming programs and events. The organization engaged directly with families and attendees, sharing information about its Care Package and Healing Support Program and connecting individuals to community-based resources designed to support those experiencing pregnancy and infant loss.
ABMN was proud to stand alongside organizations such as March of Dimes, Seasons of Change, Community Health Choice, and South Texas College of Law, all working collectively to improve access to care and resources for families. Through its participation, Angel Babies Matter Network contributed to the event’s mission of improving maternal mental health outcomes and ensuring families have access to compassionate, informed support. The Community Baby Shower served as a meaningful opportunity to connect families with essential services and reinforce the importance of community-based care.
Angel Babies Matter Network is grateful to Harris Health for the invitation and the opportunity to be part of this impactful event. For more information about Angel Babies Matter Network, follow us on social media or connect with us using the contact form.
