Angel Babies Matter Network Founder Danielle Saizan Houston Joins Panel at Global Black Women Chamber of Commerce Houston Meet-Up

On June 24, 2024, Angel Babies Matter Network Founder and CEO, Danielle Saizan Houston, had the honor of serving as a panelist at the Global Black Women Chamber of Commerce (GBWCC) Houston Meet-Up. The event, held at the historic Eldorado Ballroom in Houston, Texas, was hosted by Lillian Moore Davenport, owner of End View Solutions, LLC, and featured an esteemed group of female entrepreneurs who shared their experiences and insights on business leadership and success.
The GBWCC, which is dedicated to advancing a global force of Black women in business, focuses on fostering Connections, Collaborations, and Conversations among its members. The organization provides valuable resources, networking opportunities, and support to Black women entrepreneurs worldwide. The panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Suzan “Sujay” Johnson Cook, a United States Ambassador for Religious Freedom and the founder of the GBWCC. The panel brought together a diverse group of accomplished women, each bringing their unique perspective to the conversation.
Joining Danielle Saizan Houston on the panel were:
- Karian Durham, a serial entrepreneur and the owner of KD Marketing and Event Consulting, LLC. Karian is also an esthetician and founder of the Sallie Virginia Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting families affected by Parkinson’s disease.
- Arnetta Meekings, Director of Corporate Wellness for Totally You, LLC. Arnetta started her massage therapy business in 1999, specializing in sports rehabilitation and injury prevention massage care.
- Kyra R. Hardwick, founder of The Smart CEO and The Kyra Company, LLC. Kyra’s consulting firm focuses on supporting business executives, and she is also the founder of Imagine Excellence LLC, which provides scholarships to students in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math).
The event brought together approximately 75 attendees who were eager to hear from these inspiring women. Throughout the discussion, moderated by Ambassador Cook, the panelists shared how they started their businesses, how they managed to thrive during the COVID-19 pandemic, and how they have successfully pivoted in an unstable economy. They also offered valuable tips for new startups and business owners looking to navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship.
Ambassador Sujay added a personal touch to the event by asking the panelists how they balance work with fun and maintain a healthy work-life balance. This insight into the personal lives of the panelists resonated with the audience, highlighting the importance of self-care in the journey of entrepreneurship.
The event concluded with a lively question-and-answer session, where audience members had the opportunity to engage directly with the panelists. The discussions were not only informative but also deeply inspiring, offering a wealth of knowledge and encouragement to everyone in attendance.
